St Andrew's United Church as viewed from William Street.

Whether you are searching to find a church home, trying to figure out who God is, or have been on a spiritual journey most of your life, you are welcome here! Our desire is to be a community where all generations and backgrounds can explore and experience what it really means to follow Jesus.

We would love to meet you and learn more about your story.

We know it can be a little intimidating to walk into a new place.
Before you visit, here are some helpful tips to make you feel more comfortable

Where do I park?
There is limited parking right beside the church, but thankfully there are lots of free parking lots near by. The Dutch Market across the street, and the Downtown Chatham Mall both have free parking on Sunday mornings. If you have mobility concerns, please use the parking lot beside the church and enter through the Garden Doors.

Where do I go?
There are several doors into our building. Once inside, follow the signs pointing to the Worship Space. The back door off of Church Street is accessible for people with mobility concerns, as well as the door to the Garden pointing toward Wellington St

What about kids?
We offer Sunday School for children aged 4-12 during our Sunday Service. Children are encouraged to sit with their parents for the first few minutes of the service, then are invited to join the minister at the front for a short Children's Time. Then they will head out to the Sunday School wing with our Youth Leaders. For our littlest friends, there is a Nursery just across the hall from the Worship Space doors just to the left of the stage.

What should I wear?
Come as you are!  We want you to feel comfortable when you join us for a worship service.  People wear anything from jeans and t-shirts to business casual.

What should I expect?
Our worship services includes times of singing, praying, scripture reading and a message from the minister and lasts approximately 60 minutes. Our music is accompanied on the pipe organ and/or piano and our choir or soloists provide special music as well. The words of prayers and lyrics for songs are displayed on two large screens at the front of the worship space so it is easy to follow along. If you have hearing concerns, we will provide you with assistance, just ask one of our greeters.

What about money?
As a guest, you won't be singled out or asked to participate in the offering. When the basket is passed around, you are welcome to simply pass it by. If you notice, many of our regular members do the same, as they have other methods of supporting the church. We're simply glad you're here and encourage you to discover more about what we have to offer.

Thanks for considering St. Andrew's United Church, and we look forward to meeting you soon!
