'Saturdays at 7'

Musical concerts and performances have been a tradition around St. Andrew’s United Church for over a century. The performing arts series “Saturdays at 7” was launched in 2013. All concerts take place on Saturday at 7:00 pm in the sanctuary at St. Andrews. At each concert, a free-will offering is taken up at each concert with a suggested donation of $10.00.  Each of the concerts feature local, national, and international talent in a variety of musical genres.

Saturdays at 7 is going online to present a virtual concert on Saturday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m. This concert with the theme Hope from Home is a collaboration among local and international musicians organized, directed and produced by St. Andrew’s talented Music Director, Devon Hansen.  This program is offered since some Saturdays at 7 concerts have had to be cancelled or postponed.

Many of the participating artists, including musicians from Chatham-Kent, Windsor, Toronto, New York, British Columbia, Michigan and Wisconsin have performed in Saturdays at 7 concerts in past years. They are excited to perform from the safety of their homes to keep music in the lives of people isolated during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Local musicians include Christine Baribeau, Xander Bechard, Stacie Dengel, Andrew Derynck and Nohl Egan.

The eclectic program, remotely produced, will feature inspirational musical theatre selections.

Online donations will be graciously accepted which will be split between St. Andrew’s United Church Music Program and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation COVIDC-I9 Healthcare Relief Fund.

Hope from Home promises to be a wonderful program of music that can be accessed through Facebook Live, St. Andrew’s Facebook page or St. Andrew’s website at
